IFEMA has strengthened its international capacity as a venue for large professional events. Having been chosen to host the congress in 2014, IFEMA will once again welcome the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress. This Congress is organised by the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), in collaboration with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), and is one of the most prestigious and influential international meetings of this medical speciality. It will take place in Madrid from 8 to 12 September 2017.
ESMO 2017 will attract more than 20,000 sector professionals to the city, mainly scientists, researchers and clinicians in the field of oncology, who will attend to network and share their knowledge. One of the objectives of holding this event is to boost integration of science in the clinical setting to help to close the divide between innovative research and clinical use, to obtain the best results in cancer treatments.
